![]() ![]() “On Thursday, 4th of April 1968 Martin luther king was staying in room 306 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis”. Sadly Martin Luther King Jr’s life ended shortly in 1968 as he was assassinated and killed with a gunshot wound. But in the end he managed to prove his point and bring better civil rights for the blacks through a lot of peaceful and nonviolent protests. But being black he faced a lot of resistance from the whites as well as threats and protests against the civil rights movement. Together with other social activists around america Martin Luther king Jr worked on establishing better rights and better rules for the blacks so they would also get the same rights as the whites during the 1950’s. At the same time this march on washington took place it was also where he delivered and performed his most famous speech “I have a dream”. Some of the other things Luther King Jr did was to help and organize a non violent march for civil rights in 1963, this march taking place in washington. During this time the black were rebelling against the Jim crook laws as well as fighting for civil rights between Whites and Blacks. ![]() His actions began in 1955 as he was a head leader and had a important role in the Montgomery bus boycott. ![]()
